John (Jack) Barnett, born in Trenton, NJ, died at age 81 in Phoenix, AZ Wed. August 13 after a short illness. His life was filled with many blessings and events. He was a long time member of Mission Bell United Methodist Church and served as leader of many committees. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, the Order of DeMolay and the Bellair Senior Golf League. Jack was a avid computer whiz and loved tinkering in his self made wood working shop. As Jack joins his heavenly Father, he leaves his beloved wife Jean (Gorman) of 57 years, two daughters and son-in law; Linda & Ralph Rodriguez and Cheryl & Mike OBrien. Jack is survived by his only brother, Dick and his wife Carol, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by all his family and his many friends. Services are as follows: Best Funeral Home 9830 W. Peoria Ave. viewing Tues. August 19 5-8pm Mission Bell United Methodist Church 4645 W. Bell Rd. Wed. August 20, viewing at 9am followed by a funeral service at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission Bell United Methodist Church in memory of Jack. |
