David, William Jack, born September 11, 1926 in Rushville, Nebraska. Bill was the 5th of 6 children. He lost his battle with lung cancer on August 14, 2008. After graduating high school, Bill joined the Navy. Bill owned and operated Thunderbird Lanes bowling alley in Chadron, Nebraska. Bill married his second wife, Isabelle, in 1959 and moved to California in 1968. He worked as a quality control inspector for Lucky grocery stores for 25 years, he retired in 1993. His real passions were woodworking, baseball and bowling. A real highlight for Bill, a lifelong Angels fan, was being at the World Series when the Angels finally won! In his lifetime he experienced the following inventions: penicillin, Yo-Yo, jet engine, parking meter, canned beer, color television, Slinky, atomic bomb, microwave, mobile phones, credit card, super glue, McDonalds, ATM, cell phones, roller blades, computers, HD TV, world wide web, and hybrid cars. Bill is survived by his daughters, Patricia Kacere and Lori David-Jones; sister, Virginia Saub, and grandchildren, Jennifer Kacere, Emily Kacere and Joshua Jones. Viewing will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 4-8pm at Forest Lawn Mortuary, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, 90630. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 11am at Forest Lawn - Church of Our Fathers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
