Brown, Mary Edna (Phelps), 95, born Dec. 30, 1912, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008. Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Broadway Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Delavan Cemetery, Delavan, KS. Preceded in death by parents, Grover C. and Olive E. Phelps and brother, Ernest Phelps, survivors include, sisters, Edith Thomas and Eva Davis, both of Wichita; nieces, Brenda (Wallace) Glasco and Bonnie Bartram, both of Liberty, MO, Debra (Leo) Kidd, Manhattan, KS, Sharon (Linford) Dilks, Cahokia, IL; nephews, David (LaVerne) Walker, Robertsville, MO, Keith (Lynn) Davis, Edgerton, KS. Mary had many fond memories of 5 years teaching, Secretary at Beechcraft, Nurses Aid, selling Luziers, and working with girls and boys in 4-H, as well as decorating anniversary and birthday cakes. She was married to Franklin Brown for 24 years. Memorials to West Side Christian Church, 1819 W. Douglas and Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S. Hillside. Services by Broadway Mortuary |
