I have for sale my Dell Dimension 2400 desktop PC. Everything on the PC works great, but Im starting school again soon and looking to move, and a desktop PC is just something I cant have as an on-the-go need. Below are some specs:
MODEL: Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop PC
OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition w/ Service Pack 3
PROCESSOR: Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHz (Northwood)
MEMORY: 1.25GB DDR PC2700 (Originally came with 256MB)
HARD DRIVE: 2 Bays: 1) 40 GB IDE hard drive, 2) N/A
OPTICAL DRIVE: 2 Bays: 1) CD-ROM, 2) N/A
GRAPHICS: Intel 82845G Graphics Controller
ALSO INCLUDED: Dell monitor, keyboard, mouse with mousepad. Original Dell Windows XP Install disc and Dell Drivers & Utilities discs included as well, with Owners Manual. Also, a Staples 4-port USB 2.0 external hub will be given to the buyer, as well.
OTHER INFO: I got this computer as a gift from a family member and since Ive gotten it its been nothing but exceptional. Dell sold this PC as a basic consumer PC but Ive used it for more intensive things like video and audio editing and it does a decent job at both. It has a speedy Pentium 4 at 2.8GHz (Northwood) which is one of the top Pentium 4s available aside from the more expensive HT models. It originally came with 256MB of RAM but that just wasnt enough so I upgraded and bought a 1GB stick and added it to my system, now making it 1.25GB. It runs phenominally. The new RAM coupled with the speed of the Pentium 4 has allowed me to open multiple applications and Ive never once seen the computer lock up or freeze on me. It has 2 spaces for hard drives, and another can be added. It needs to be IDE interface, NOT ATA OR SATA. Also, it only has a CD-ROM optical drive, but again, another space is there so you can add a CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW, and again, they both need to be IDE interface.
If anyone is interested Im selling it for $200 O.B.O. and all that came with it is included, except for the speakers which have gone missing - everything else is there. I think it sounds reasonable seeing as how Ive kept this thing up to date, and Ive even reinstalled the OS so that everything is virus-and-malware-free. Its been well taken care of.
