This is truly a unique piece. Its a Fenton vase, or candy holder, but its marked OVG- which stands for Old Virginia Glass.
This is what I found out about Old Virginia Glass- In 1971, Fenton added Carnival Items to its Old Virginia Glass Line. These were marked with OVG- The capital letters O, V, G, stacked vertically. That is what is on the bottom of this piece.
I say vaseline, because its florescent- ! You really cant tell that from the pictures, but by looking at this piece as it sets on a shelf, etc- you can tell. It doesnt floresce really well, but there is some. Its just beautiful!
If you need more pictures, or better pictures, or want a shot taken of this piece with a black light, let me know. I may even try to revise the listing tonight and add a picture of it with a black light used.
It stands 4 1/2 inches tall and measures 5 inches in width.
I will be happy to ship anywhere in the United States. I only accept U.S. Postal Money Orders and cash, if picked up locally, for payment. I will ship as soon as I recieve your cleared payment. You can also check out other items i have for sale on Ebay, and Bonanzle by looking for my user id - bishopbrenda2008 on either site.
Thanks for looking! |
