The Senior Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) Programmer has the following responsibilities:
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Works with a national data warehouse team to extract data from multiple (disparate) database formats
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Writes code that transforms the data and loads it into a Microsoft SQL database
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Minimum BS degree(s) in Computer Science or related scientific field
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Five years experience in Java programming, or MS degree(s) in Computer Science and three years experience in Java programming
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Prior ETL experience and knowledge of ETL tools
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Experience in Microsoft Windows SQL or Sun MicroSystems MySQL
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Experience in many of the following: InterSystems Cach?ɬ©, Eclipse development platform (including GUI); Adobe Flex, Massachusetts General Hospital Utility MultiProgramming System (MUMPS)
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Superior analytical skills
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Ability to interact effectively with management, users, and other programmers
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Ability to work as part of a development team
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ The ability to effectively manage your time and projects
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Honesty, reliability, punctuality
