Toshiba has accepted the defeat of HD-DVD against Blue-Ray format of Sonny and stopped to develop that project anymore.



According to NHK (A japan media group) Toshiba lost hundreds of million dollars and they are going to re-call theirs devices from the market and stop production. But after all they will still keep RD process ongoing.



Its been said that the decision of Wall-Mart to choise Blue-Ray was one of the biggest reason to stop the production of HD-DVD. Not only being a choise of Wall-Mart but also to take Best-Buy and American movie industry to their side has been made Sonny already very strong in the market.



HD-DVD has been only supported by Intel Universal movie studios and Microsoft support.



While Blue-Ray is expensiver than HD-DVD it also can store much more data
